Freshman Fundamentals package

The Freshmen Fundamentals Package is designed for 8th and 9th grade students who want a head start in the college planning process. By starting early, the student has adequate time to explore and plan for the upcoming years of high school. The Freshman Fundamentals package focuses on creating a plan for the student going forward into the crucial high school years. The strategic planning sessions address what is best suited for the student in the upcoming years in order to best maximize the students potential. Areas of discussion and planning will include academics, including class choices and impact on GPA; volunteering; extracurricular activities; practice PSATs; summer planning and future goals going forward.

The Freshman Fundamentals Package offers three strategic meetings throughout the school year, as well as monthly meetings to review the status of the student.

This package includes:

  1. Initial Intake Interview;

  2. September meeting: current status on academics and setting targets (with grades and clubs) and discussion on practice PSATs (1 hour);

  3. January meeting: review and strategically plan an overview of potential course selection for next four years (1 hour);

  4. April meeting: formulating goals for summer to maximize and leverage the potential of each student based upon realistic summer endeavors (academic, athletic, employment, travel, community/volunteer work) (1 hour).

  5. Monthly meetings during freshmen year to check targets, goals and grades (.5 hour each month);

After the completion of the Freshmen Fundamentals Package, students will have the opportunity to then decide if they would like to continue into our formal comprehensive packages starting with the Sophomore Superstars Package.

The Introductory Rate for the Freshman Fundamentals package is $500. Students signing up for this Package may split their hours between their 8th grade year and Freshman year.
